Muscat – A construction accident at the Muttrah Cable Car project claimed the lives of two workers and left several others injured, authorities confirmed. Sabeen Investment Company expressed deep sorrow and extended condolences to the families of the victims.

The incident occurred during structural installation work at the Muttrah site. The deceased were identified as an Italian and a Pakistani national. Officials emphasized that the accident happened during the construction phase and was unrelated to any operational or testing activities of the cable car system.

Sabeen Investment stated the incident appears linked to technical and occupational safety procedures on site. A full investigation is underway to determine the causes of the tragedy.

Emergency teams from the Royal Oman Police and the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority responded immediately, providing assistance to the injured and securing the site.

The company reiterated its commitment to strict occupational safety standards and confirmed its cooperation with authorities. Additional safety measures will be implemented based on the findings of the ongoing investigation.
