Embassy of India in Muscat Celebrates 77th Republic Day
The Embassy of India in Muscat celebrated the 77th Republic Day of India with patriotic fervor and enthusiasm, drawing large participation from the Indian community and friends of India in Oman.
The celebrations began with Chargé d’affaires Mrs. Tavishi Behal Pandey laying a floral tribute at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi, honoring his legacy of peace and non-violence. The National Flag was unfurled, followed by the singing of the National Anthem by students from Indian School Muscat. Mrs. Pandey also read excerpts from the President of India’s Republic Day address, highlighting the nation’s democratic values, progress, and future aspirations.
The event was further distinguished by the presence of Commander Y. Hemant and Commander Vikas Sheoran, following the successful maiden voyage of INSV Kaundinya from Porbandar to Muscat. Patriotic songs performed by students added to the festive atmosphere, making the celebration memorable for all attendees.
