Eight Asian Nationals Arrested in Al Buraimi for Illegal Gambling
The Al Buraimi Governorate Police Command has detained eight Asian nationals for illegal gambling activities in the Wilayat of Al Buraimi. The arrests follow an investigation into illicit activities within the local community.
Authorities confirmed the suspects were engaged in gambling, which is strictly prohibited under Omani law. The raid reflects ongoing efforts by the Royal Oman Police to monitor and curb activities that threaten public morals and social stability in the country.
All eight individuals remain in custody while legal proceedings are finalized before they are referred to judicial authorities for further action.
In a separate incident in Muscat, a citizen was arrested for stealing catalytic converters from vehicles he had rented, and an Asian expatriate was also apprehended for dismantling and selling the stolen items. Both cases are under investigation and legal review.
