Saudi Pavilion Cairo Book Fair Hosts Qatar Envoy Visit
The Saudi pavilion Cairo book fair hosted Qatari Ambassador to Egypt Sheikh Jassim Al-Thani, who toured the ministry’s religious and educational exhibits at the 57th Cairo International Book Fair. The ambassador praised Saudi Arabia’s efforts in disseminating the Qur’an and highlighted the pavilion’s organization and quality, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The fair, held at the Egypt International Exhibition Center until February 3, features 1,457 publishing houses from 83 countries. The Saudi pavilion Cairo book fair showcased publications from the King Fahd Glorious Qur’an Printing Complex, explained the stages of printing and distributing the Qur’an, and offered copies as gifts from King Salman.
The pavilion also highlighted digital initiatives, including the Islamic e-Library, Rushd app, Correct Citation app, and multilingual Virtual Hajj app. Visitors could experience advanced virtual reality tours of the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, demonstrating Saudi Arabia’s global role in promoting Islamic culture, supporting Muslims, and enhancing intellectual and cultural activities.
