Ras Tanura Refinery Drone Incident Brought Under Control, No Injuries

RIYADH – A limited fire broke out at the Ras Tanura oil refinery early Monday following debris from the interception of two drones near the facility. According to a statement from the Saudi Ministry of Energy, the fire was quickly contained by emergency response teams, and no injuries or fatalities were reported.

Officials confirmed that some operational units at the refinery were temporarily shut down as a precautionary measure. Despite the disruption, the incident had no impact on the supply of petroleum products to local markets.

The Ministry emphasized that the situation is under full control, and security measures around the facility have been reinforced to prevent further incidents. Analysts noted that such events highlight the growing risks to critical energy infrastructure from drone-related threats.
