Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman discusses regional escalation with US President Trump
RIYADH — Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman spoke on Saturday with US President Donald Trump in a phone call addressing the recent missile attacks targeting the Kingdom. The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that the missiles were successfully intercepted by the Kingdom’s air defenses.
During the call, Trump conveyed Washington’s strong condemnation of the attacks and reaffirmed the United States’ support for Saudi Arabia. He emphasized backing all measures taken by the Kingdom to address these violations, which he described as threats to regional security and stability.
In addition to the US call, Crown Prince Mohammed also held discussions with Syrian President Ahmed Al-Sharaa concerning the ongoing military escalation in the region. Al-Sharaa expressed Syria’s support and solidarity with Saudi Arabia and reiterated his country’s rejection of any violations against the Kingdom’s sovereignty or security.
The Crown Prince further received phone calls from Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tariq and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, discussing regional developments amid Iran’s military escalation affecting the Kingdom and other Gulf nations, SPA reported.
These high-level communications underscore the Kingdom’s ongoing diplomatic efforts to maintain regional security and coordinate responses with international and regional partners.
