EU Foreign Policy Chief Calls for Diplomatic Solution on Iran

The European Union’s foreign policy chief has called for a diplomatic resolution to the tensions surrounding Iran, emphasizing the need to avoid further conflict in the region. Kaja Kallas made the statement on Monday ahead of scheduled discussions between Tehran and Washington, amid warnings from US President Donald Trump about potential military action.

“We don’t need another war in this region. We already have a lot,” Kallas said during a meeting with EU foreign ministers. She stressed that Iran is currently at one of its weakest points and that the international community should seize the opportunity to pursue dialogue and peaceful solutions.

The EU’s position highlights its commitment to diplomacy and regional stability, urging all parties to prioritize negotiations over escalation. The statement comes at a critical time as global powers monitor developments in Iran closely, aiming to prevent further deterioration in security and maintain peace in the Middle East.
