Oman’s Tender Board Awards Over OMR 32 Million in Development Projects Across Multiple Sectors

In its first session of 2026, Oman’s Tender Board approved several tenders and supplementary works for development projects spanning multiple sectors, with a total value of OMR 32,597,355.

The meeting, chaired by Dr. Khamis Saif Al Jabri, Minister of Economy and Board Chairman, saw the greenlighting of key initiatives including the construction of two flood protection dams on Wadi Al Ansab in Muscat Governorate, valued at OMR 9.75 million. In the healthcare sector, the supply of peritoneal dialysis equipment was approved at OMR 8,390,285.

The Board also endorsed consultancy services for the design of Phase 3 of the stadium within the Integrated Sports City for OMR 4.65 million, and the replacement of air conditioning systems at the Ministry of Finance building, as part of ongoing rehabilitation and maintenance, for OMR 3,268,530.

Infrastructure and transport projects included the construction of a tunnel at the intersection of Ittin Road and 18th of November Street in Salalah for OMR 3,203,151, and a project to cut the Rakhyut-Dhalkut coastal dirt road in Dhofar Governorate for OMR 700,000.

Additional approvals covered IT infrastructure upgrades at the Projects, Tenders and Local Content Authority headquarters for OMR 418,950, and the purchase of broadcasting rights for the FIFA Arab Cup 2025 in Qatar for OMR 192,249.

The Board also authorized employee incentive programs for government units valued at OMR 176,400, and supplementary asphalt maintenance works in Tawi Atair, Wadi Rakh, and Jibjat in Dhofar Governorate for OMR 538,621.

Other approvals included additional works for waste collection and transport in North Al Batinah (OMR 520,000), consultancy services for the Oman Botanic Garden project (OMR 494,729), and supervision consultancy for multiple road projects worth OMR 294,440.

These awards reflect Oman’s continued commitment to infrastructure, public services, and environmental development as part of the government’s broader development strategy.
