UAE Announces Eid Al Fitr Holidays for 2026
Abu Dhabi – The United Arab Emirates government has officially announced the Eid Al Fitr holidays for public and private sector employees in 2026.
For the public sector, holidays will begin on Thursday, March 19, and continue until Sunday, March 22. Normal working hours are expected to resume on Monday, March 23.
In the private sector, the holiday period will start on Thursday, March 19, and end on Saturday, March 21. However, if the holy month of Ramadan lasts 30 days, the private sector holiday will be extended until Sunday, March 22.
The announcement applies nationwide and follows the UAE’s established guidelines for public and private sector holiday schedules. Employees are advised to plan accordingly and enjoy the festive period with family and friends.
