Sharjah car owners will soon have to replace their old license plates with new designs, as announced by the Sharjah Police Vehicle Licensing Department. The replacement process begins February 16, 2026, at designated locations across the emirate.
The new plates aim to modernize vehicle registration in Sharjah and improve service quality for residents and visitors. Authorities urge all vehicle owners to visit one of the following centres for the replacement:
- Tasjeel Village – Sharjah
- Sharjah Classic Cars Club – Sharjah
- Tasjeel Village – Khorfakkan
Sharjah Police have affirmed that the initiative is part of ongoing efforts to enhance services and streamline vehicle management in the emirate. The new license plates will feature updated designs and will apply to all eligible vehicles, including private cars, motorcycles, and classic vehicles.
Authorities encourage residents to replace their old plates promptly to avoid any fines or compliance issues. The move reflects Sharjah’s commitment to maintaining high standards in traffic and vehicle regulation while providing a better experience for car owners.
