Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Gives Prince William Tour of At-Turaif District
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Monday hosted Britain’s Prince William on a tour of At-Turaif District, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Diriyah, northwest of Riyadh.
At-Turaif, located in the heart of Diriyah, is one of Saudi Arabia’s most important heritage landmarks and marks the birthplace of the first Saudi state. The tour showcased the district’s distinctive Najdi architectural style and included visits to the palaces of the imams and princes who ruled during the first Saudi state.
Prince William toured Salwa Palace, a historic site that once served as the center of government. The visit offered insights into the Kingdom’s early political and cultural history.
The Prince of Wales is on his first official visit to Saudi Arabia, arriving in Riyadh on Monday evening. He was welcomed by senior officials, including Deputy Governor of Riyadh Region Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz. The British Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Stephen Hitchen, was also in attendance.
