Saudi Cabinet Reviews International Cooperation and MoUs with Egypt, Kazakhstan, and Others

Saudi Arabia’s Council of Ministers, chaired by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, reviewed a range of domestic and international matters during a session in Jeddah on Tuesday, emphasizing cooperation with key global partners.

The crown prince briefed the Cabinet on his recent discussions with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, covering regional security, Middle East developments, and broader topics of significance to the Arab and Islamic world. He also shared a letter from Kazakhstan President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The Cabinet reviewed progress in bilateral and multilateral cooperation with countries including Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Armenia, Turkmenistan, Estonia, Cuba, and Kiribati. Several memorandums of understanding were approved, supporting initiatives in development, education, environmental protection, health, investment, and air transport.

Additionally, ministers authorized an agreement between the Saudi General Authority for Awqaf and its Omani counterpart on endowments. National initiatives promoting charitable work and strengthening humanitarian and developmental efforts across the Kingdom were also discussed.

The Council approved the merger of the National Competitiveness Center with the Saudi Center for Economic Business, establishing the Saudi Competitiveness and Business Center to enhance economic efficiency and business growth nationwide.

The session reflects Saudi Arabia’s ongoing commitment to fostering strategic partnerships and implementing initiatives that drive economic, social, and regional development.
