Riyadh – Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice as Al-Nassr defeated Al-Okhdood 3-0 at Al-Awwal Park, securing the club’s 10th consecutive victory in the Saudi Pro League (SPL).

The victory marks the best start to an SPL season in history for Al-Nassr under coach Jorge Jesus, who has revitalized the team this season. Ronaldo’s two goals also took his career tally to 956 goals.

Despite Ronaldo narrowly missing out on a hat-trick, with a 65th-minute goal ruled out for offside after a VAR review, Al-Nassr’s attacking dominance remained evident. Joao Felix, Wesley, Kingsley Coman, and Marcelo Brozovic orchestrated much of the team’s fluid play, with crosses and intricate combinations creating scoring opportunities.

The breakthrough came in the 31st minute, when a corner from Joao Felix found defender Abdulelah Al-Amri, who headed the ball across goal for Ronaldo to finish. Ronaldo added a second goal before halftime with a spectacular backheel, assisted by Brozovic and Angelo.

The final goal came in stoppage time when Joao Felix slotted past Al-Okhdood’s goalkeeper Samuel, completing the 3-0 victory.

Al-Nassr now lead the SPL table with 30 points, scoring 33 goals and conceding just five, asserting their dominance both offensively and defensively. The league leaders are four points ahead of Al-Hilal, ahead of their much-anticipated clash on January 12 at Kingdom Arena.

Elsewhere, Al-Qadsiah drew 1-1 with Damac, while Al-Ahli suffered defeat to Al-Fateh, influencing the race for the top four positions.
