Harvard Delegation Visits King Abdulaziz University to Boost Academic Cooperation

A delegation from Harvard University, including faculty members and students from its business school, has visited King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah to explore opportunities for academic and research collaboration.

During the visit, the delegation toured the university’s Faculty of Economics and Administration, where officials highlighted academic offerings, research initiatives, and recent advances in business and management education. Discussions focused on areas of mutual interest that could lead to future joint programs, faculty exchanges, and collaborative research projects.

The delegation also held talks with King Abdulaziz University President Tareef Alaama, with both sides emphasizing the importance of strengthening international academic partnerships. University officials said the visit reflects the growing global engagement of Saudi higher education institutions and aligns with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals to build a knowledge-based economy.

Established as the first faculty at King Abdulaziz University, the Faculty of Economics and Administration now includes ten academic departments and offers more than 30 undergraduate and postgraduate programs across a range of disciplines.

University representatives said expanding cooperation with leading international institutions remains a priority, as such partnerships promote innovation, enhance learning opportunities, and support the development of high-impact research.

The visit marks another step in King Abdulaziz University’s efforts to broaden its global academic network and strengthen its role as a regional hub for higher education and scientific exchange.
