Emirates Cancels US Flights Ahead of Winter Storm Fern
Dubai-based Emirates airline has cancelled several flights to and from the United States as Winter Storm Fern approaches, bringing heavy snowfall, icy roads, and travel disruptions across large parts of the country.
The storm is expected to affect areas from Texas and the Great Plains to the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, with authorities warning of power outages and hazardous conditions. Texas has already declared a state of emergency.
Emirates said passengers booked on the affected flights, including those connecting through Dubai, will not be accepted for travel at their original departure points unless rebooked. Travellers are advised to contact the airline or their travel agents to adjust their bookings.
The airline emphasized that passenger safety remains its top priority as Storm Fern moves across the continental US, affecting millions.
