Chartered Institute of Marketing Launches Dubai Hub to Boost Marketing Standards Across UAE and GCC

The Chartered Institute of Marketing has officially launched a new regional hub in Dubai Knowledge Park, marking a significant step in strengthening marketing capability across the United Arab Emirates and the wider Gulf region.

The launch event in Dubai brought together senior executives, industry influencers and marketing professionals, underscoring the institute’s long-term commitment to raising professional standards and supporting talent development throughout the GCC.

The new hub forms part of CIM’s broader expansion strategy in the Middle East and reflects growing regional demand for internationally recognised marketing qualifications and expertise. The move also aligns with the UAE’s economic diversification goals and its focus on building knowledge-based industries capable of competing on a global stage.

Speaking at the launch, CIM Chief Executive Chris Daly said the UAE and GCC are experiencing ambitious transformation programmes that require strong marketing capability to succeed. He noted that establishing a permanent presence in Dubai would increase access to global standards, professional certifications and career development pathways for marketers across the region.

Daly added that marketing plays a critical role in supporting innovation, attracting investment and strengthening brand positioning for both public and private sector organisations.

Saria Hayek, Regional Manager for CIM GCC, described the new office as more than a physical location. She said it would serve as a collaborative platform designed to foster learning, knowledge exchange and industry partnerships. According to Hayek, the goal is to build a dynamic marketing community that reflects the UAE’s innovation-driven environment and the wider Gulf’s rapidly evolving business landscape.

Industry analysts say the launch comes at a time when companies across the GCC are investing heavily in digital transformation, customer engagement strategies and brand-led growth. The presence of a global professional body in Dubai is expected to enhance training opportunities and strengthen the pipeline of qualified marketing professionals.

The Chartered Institute of Marketing, headquartered in the United Kingdom, has long been recognised for setting professional standards and providing accredited marketing qualifications worldwide. Its expansion into Dubai reinforces the emirate’s status as a regional business and knowledge hub serving markets across the Middle East.

The new regional centre is expected to host professional development programmes, networking events and strategic collaborations aimed at advancing marketing excellence across the UAE and neighbouring Gulf countries.
